JOYCE MOGENI BIOGRAPHY
Joyce Mogeni is an award-winning serial entrepreneur, retired registered nurse, and the founder of a multimillion-dollar health care and staffing agency. Divine Healing Home Care is a women-owned agency that focuses on providing quality and personal living services for vulnerable adults in assisted living, nursing, group homes, and various community settings.
Under Joyce’s dynamic leadership, Divine Healing Home Care has been recognized as the fastest growing health care agency in the twin cities. Passionate about creating change within the healthcare system, Joyce also owns several healthcare facilities, including assisted living homes, where she currently serves as the director.
From working as a 14-year-old in her father’s retail shop in Kenya, to obtaining nearly every nursing degree in the United States, Joyce believes that faith, work ethic and resilience are part of the fabric that’s led to her success. Prior to launching her business, Joyce worked as a registered nurse for more than two decades across hospitals and other facilities in Minnesota. During that time period, she also held several management roles.
But her passion for caretaking – alongside her vision for higher impact and economic empowerment – prompted her to launch her own business. In 2015, she took all of her $20,000 in savings and launched Divine Healing Home Care staffing agency.
Her first employee was herself.
Today, she employs more than 200 people and continues to gain recognition as a top leader who offers critical services to the most vulnerable population. Divine Healing Home Care is dedicated toward helping vulnerable adults maintain a positive living experience by providing experienced professionals who prioritize their comfort, independence, and dignity.
In 2019, Joyce became one of the co-founders and the Vice President of Operations for Global Alliance Entrepreneur. It focuses on helping minority communities and businesses across the globe build a strong sense of community while also ensuring economic empowerment opportunities for all. In 2020, Joyce again became one of the co-founders and President of Healthy Living Home Health Care LLC. This company focuses on working with mentally challenged individuals within various communities.
Joyce holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Winona State University as well as several certifications, including, Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC), Winona State University’s Public Health Nursing, Pinnacle Global Network and the Metropolitan Economic Development Association’s (MEDA) Small Business Entrepreneurship mini-MBA program.
In 2022, Joyce received the Women of Color Achievement Award from the 100 Black Men of the Twin Cities, Inc., and the Women Presidents Organization.
She is one of 14 children, the proud mother of two children, and loves physical fitness challenges.
