George Osoro Momanyi, RN

Senior Consultant Global Health Connections

George is a visionary Health Systems Expert with over 20 years of experience in global health issues. His dynamic background in program development and public health is complemented by his current role as a Consultant at the World Health Organization (WHO), where he facilitates the Planning and Coordination of the Collaborative Surveillance Initiative.

Before joining WHO, George excelled at Africa CDC, demonstrating expertise in partnership management, strategic planning, and project management. His track record includes designing, managing, and planning various health interventions, from single-country initiatives to multi-country projects.

As the Director of Partnerships at the Urban Research and Development Centre for Africa, George showcased his leadership skills by inspiring others, fostering innovation, and driving results. His collaborative approach and analytical skills have proven instrumental in funding and executing public health initiatives across governmental and corporate partnerships.

With previous experience at the US CDC in Uganda and Kenya, George gained expertise in Routine Immunization programs. His contributions to polio and measles surveillance as a Stop Transmission of Polio (STOP) alumni in Ethiopia further demonstrate his commitment to public health advancement.

George holds an MSc in Health Systems Management and an MSc in Nursing, reflecting his deep passion for leveraging skills and experience to contribute to public health advancement. His dedication as an executive is evident in his ability to translate program requirements and budgetary needs into efficient organizational strategies. He excels in cultivating lasting partnerships and loyal teams, ensuring organizational and professional growth.
